Game: Wiki Speedrun
We’re going to play a game called Wiki Speedrun. Here’s how it works: you start on a randomly assigned Wikipedia page and try to navigate to a target page as quickly as possible using only internal Wikipedia links. You cannot use the search function, external links, or keyboard shortcuts. The goal is to reach the target page in the fewest clicks or shortest time.
You can also use WikiSpeedrun website to play the game with a timed challenge.

Game: Predict the Freeze
We’re going to play a game called Predict the Freeze. Here’s how it works: You will watch a video of someone throwing coffee into the air at -45°C (-50°F), but before watching, discuss with your elbow buddy and make a prediction. Will the coffee freeze instantly? Will it turn to snow? Or will something unexpected happen?
Result: Instantly freezes and turns into a cloud of ice crystals before it even reaches the ground. This happens because of the Mpemba Effect, where hot liquids can freeze faster than cold ones under certain conditions.

Game: Thought Experiment: Is It Water?
We’re going to play a game called Is It Water? Here’s how it works: Imagine you are a scientist who has travelled to a different planet. On this planet, you find a mysterious liquid that forms oceans and rivers, turns to steam when heated, freezes when cold, and is used by trees—just like water on Earth. But when you test it, you discover that its chemical makeup is different from H₂O. Before discussing as a class, speak with your elbow buddy: Should we still call this liquid water? Why or why not?
